Graphic novels for newbies

You may have noticed that the adult collection of graphic novels has moved around a bit in the last few months. (That is, graphic novels not written for kids or teens.) We have been trying to find a good home for this popular and expanding collection, and currently you can find them on the second floor across the stairwell from the reference desk (where the second floor librarians help you find what you need).Those of you who are already graphic novel fans have no doubt discovered their new location.  Others who have been on the second floor recently may have spotted and wondered about these books on the large silver cart. If you are new to graphic novels, which are really just comics with a more extended narrative, and include fiction and non-fiction. Here are a few popular titles to start with:
