U-Pick!
The public library is powered by a community of readers, listeners and viewers - you, me, all of us. And many of us who are members of this community also participate in online communities, like Facebook or Twitter. (And you too, our loyal blog readers!)
We thought it would be fun to merge these physical and digital realms by asking you folks online to help us make a display of your picks in the library. We’ll also post the results online, of course. Post them as a comment on the blog, send them to us on Twitter (@corvallislib), or post them on our Facebook discussions page. We’ll put up the display (in the library and online) in December.
When you post, share as much or as little about the book as you like. Title and author alone are just fine, or add a little review if you feel so inclined. We just ask that you play nice, and stick with our guidelines, which we know you’ll do anyway.
Share fiction books, non-fiction books, or your favorite DVD or CD at the library. Or maybe there was a great downloadable audiobook or video you enjoyed recently? A magazine we subscribe to? Or do you want to share your love of Mango Languages?
Either way, whatever you enjoy reading/listening to/viewing from the library, go ahead and share it with your fellow library members! We’d all love to know what you’ve been enjoying lately.

The books I’ve read recently and really enjoyed:
A Reliable Wife, by Robert Goolrich: Maybe winter in Corvallis isn’t that bad after all…
The Outcasts of 19 Schuyler Place, by EL Konigsburg: A young adult book that adults can’t help but love.
Night of the Grizzlies, by Jack Olsen: (sadly not available from CBC — but got through inter-library loan!) Still scary after all these years.
