Another great site for finding about series and reading descriptions of book plots is fictiondb (http://www.fictiondb.com/). I use it's book lists to create Excel spreadsheets of books by author and the series the author writes. I then mark the books that are available in the library with an "x" (uppercase for large type books!). I also record when I have read a book so I won't check it out again thinking that I haven't already read the book.
