Learn a language on the go!

mango language logoMango Languages has made learning a language even simpler and more accessible: via your mobile device! They now have an app, so folks who own an iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad now have access to learning a language on their mobile device. (For those of you in the Android Market, an app is in the works).

No more sitting down at your computer or laptop is required. You can take your language-learning lessons with you on the go!

You can download the app by going to the iTunes store. (Or, if you dig QR codes, scan the QR code below and it will take you directly to the app for installation).*

Registration with Mango Languages is required. Registration can be done via their database – you’ll need your library card number to access it. Once you have confirmed your account, it is activated and the app works immediately.

What’s incredibly awesome is that the lessons on the phone work just like the online versions. Listen to pronunciations, interact with the content by testing your speaking skills, and touch the screen to hear answers.

As someone pining to relearn the Spanish I studied in high school, Mango Languages makes it incredibly easy. In fact, much to my mom’s chagrin, I tuned into my phone and quizzed myself while watching my dad’s high school soccer team play in the semi-finals Tuesday night. I tell you, this app is addictive!

* To scan the QR code, you will need a QR code scanner. I recommend the QR reader app.
