The Library goes mobile

The CBCPL mobile app is now live! Access your account and browse books, CDs, DVDs while on the go!

You can download the iOs app in iTunes and the Android version in Google Play. For other devices, visit from your mobile device to download.

Some key features:

Library Catalog: Allows you to search for items and place holds.  The app has “smart prefix search” technology, which predicts and provides results as you type! For example, if searching for Mark Twain, type “ma twa” and all of his books shall appear.

My Account: See what you have checked out, your hold requests, and review any balance owed.

Ask a Librarian: Have a question about a book, a hold, your account, or a reference question? With a tap of the phone, you can call us or text us.

E-books/Audiobooks: This option provides access your Library2go account. In addition, see which ebooks and audiobooks are available NOW and download them immediately to your device.

Library Locations and Hours: View branch addresses, hours, and phone numbers. Get driving directions and access Google maps for driving/public transportation or walking directions.

Library Calendar of Events: Find out the latest goings-on for youth, teen and adult programs at each CBCPL branch and view scheduled bookmobile stops.

Facebook/Twitter: Stay connected to us via Facebook or Twitter. Have quick access to tweets and other information about the library.

BookLook: On or in a bookstore and curious to see if we have a copy of the book on our shelves? Check to see if the library owns an item by scanning its ISBN barcode.

The app makes things super easy and super fast! Now the library is at your fingertips, 24-7.

Great app guys! Just a note for the Google Play app: it’s REALLY hard to search for this app since neither “Corvallis” or “Benton County” appears in the description. The only way I could find it was to search for “CBCPL”. I wasn’t even sure I was downloading the right app. lol

  2. Charles says:

@Kenna: Our understanding is that Boopsie (the publishers of the App) can’t do anything about that due to limitations in the way the Google Play search function works. Thanks for letting us know, though.

  3. Max Southall says:

Windows Mobile version can’t download the MP3 files it says it can… frustrating as you don’t find out until you go through everything only to find it fails after all the rigamarole…

@Max: Hi! Are you trying to download an audiobook through library2go onto a Windows Mobile device? Do you get an error message that says “Unable to locate folder of Windows Mobile device because folder is not found”? Library2go has an explanation and solution for that on their support website.

Give their recommendation a try and if you continue to have problems downloading an mp3 from library2go to your device, send us an email at and we’ll get back to you quickly.
