A Writer’s Life
Are you curious about what it’s really like to write books? Author, Register-Guard columnist, and inspiring speaker Bob Welch will take us behind the scenes of the writer’s life and talk about his three new books coming out this fall:

Readers tend to see only finished products — the labors of a writer’s love. Or see the authors themselves at events. What they rarely see is the underbelly of the craft. Welch likens book writing to doing a triathlon, only the three events are research, writing and editing. “We tend to think of writing as just that, putting words down,” says Welch. “But writing begins long before, in the imagination and in the gathering of the material.
Welch will also show photos taken during his Pacific Coast Trail adventure. This should be a very interesting, fun event. Hope to see you on November 5th.
