A Guide To Trails In The Corvallis Area by Phillip R. Hays is a favorite for local hiking information. Unfortunately this much loved book is no longer available in print (although there is a Reference copy at the library – REF 917.9534 HAYS READY).

It’s Census Day on April 1st. Have you sent your form in yet? Libraries and librarians use census data in two ways, and in both we cases we are using it to better serve you, our community.
Exciting news! Ted Cox, local author and the owner of Old World Deli, has a new book out. He’ll be presenting it at the library on Wednesday, December 9th at 7 pm.

We have a nice collection of local and regional history books at the library.
Whenever I see one of those “Native Oregonian” bumper stickers I remember that I will never be one. (A Native Oregonian, not a bumper sticker!) I may have been here 27 years, but I’ll always be a transplant.
Here is our very own History of Benton County by David D. Fagan in ebook form! We have a paper copy in reference and an all name index in the library too. This title is a go-to standard for local history.
The Oregon State Library released the Oregon 150 Booklist yesterday, to celebrate Oregon’s sesquicentennial. (I am such a pro at spelling that word by now.)
