For the most part, I’m stuck in town all summer. This is more or less self-inflicted, so I can’t complain too much. However, I still occasionally get the childish why-can’t-I-go feeling when I see cars with camping gear heading over the bridge out of town.

Avast me hearties! September 19th is International Talk Like a Pirate Day. To celebrate, here are some great books on pirates, including two written by the men who started ITLAPD (one is on the left).
I love to look at our collection statistics. Which books did go out? Which did not? Although I love to ponder these numbers as insights into the collective psyche of Benton County, the statistics can sometimes be misleading.
