The Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas last week featured (for the first time) an “eBooks TechZone” with the newest and best in ebook devices. With all the doom and gloom about publishing, reading and literacy in the news, ereading may give reading (and readers) a boost!

With the help of a grant from the Oregon State Library Board Corvallis-Benton County Public Library will be able to make Ebooks available from our Library2Go website. Around 5000 titles will be available initially in March 2010 with more titles to be added later.

Why not buy someone (maybe yourself) an ereader. There are quite a few options out there and I think this holiday season will be the turning point for near $100 ereading devices.
