One of our most heavily used online resources is a language-learning program called Mango Languages. With over 38 languages to choose from, Mango has formatted its lessons in an engaging, interactive format that makes learning a language easier — you’ll be speaking after just one lesson!

As you may already know, you can learn a language online using the library’s subscription to Mango Languages. It’s web-based, so you can do it anywhere you have internet access – you just need your library card to log in. Recently, Mango told us that they have added some additional courses.

For any of us who are learning or have learned another language – we all know that not being understood because of bad pronunciation can be really frustrating. I’m happy to tell you that our online language learning program, Mango Languages, now offers a way to improve your pronunciation, with its new voice comparison feature!
This week I began a short course in Spanish for library workers. I jumped at the chance to participate, because I love learning new languages and all the fun mind-expanding things that means.
