Crafts are popular at CBCPL, and whether you are a knitter, spinner, quilter, or beader you probably already know we have lots of craft books, magazines and DVDs. Did you know we also have ebooks and downloadable videos?
If you’ve been to the library in the last week, you may have noticed that we have something different in the new books area.
I thought I’d highlight some of the great new non-fiction that is currently (as I write this) available on the new book shelf. We have a lot of great stuff, but sometimes it’s hard to decide which books deserve to go home with you. Here are a few suggestions from a selection of subject areas:
ePub is the universal format for ereaders. Our new Library2Go ebooks come in both PDF and industry standard ePub formats. The format available is given at the bottom of the item record. Many of the biographies and memoirs in our collection are in the 921 call number, then by the last name of the person the book is about (e.g. 921 Kennedy or 921 Reichl). We also have a new biography section on the main floor of the library, if you want to browse some new books. [...]
On Monday, the Corvallis Gazette-Times asked us for the 10 books that were checked out the most often between 01/01/2009 and 06/15/2009. We ran some reports for them, and I thought I’d share the results with you here as well.
