Every summer the second floor librarians review the magazine collection at the library. We consider adding titles that folks have suggested, we look at Library Journal‘s annual list of best new magazines, and we also consider canceling titles that are expensive and/or not well used.
Have you ever wondered what craft; animal; or business and finance magazines the library subscribes to?
Every July we review our magazine and newspaper subscriptions at the library — we have over 400 magazines and 40 newspapers — and decide which titles we will add and which we will cancel. This year, based on great suggestions from our library patrons, we decided to start subscribing to 10 new magazines.
Do you ever get the idea to build something really cool in your backyard or garage? Well, as the weather gets warmer and drier (it will right?) maybe it’s time to find a project!
