There are five of us blogging for The Second Floor Librarians. You may have seen us at the reference desk or around town,  but if you don’t know who we are, here’s what we look like and something about us.

With Spring in full gear, or at least looking that way on the calendar, my mind turns to getting in shape, improving my fitness and losing the convenience of bulky sweaters. While there are many ways towards fitness, one of these ways brings me to my favorite  four letter word…

I know that it is not Spring yet, but the recent increase in length of daylight and occasional blue skies have made me want to bust out my gardening tools and start considering exterior home improvements. I am also starting to be followed around by my own personal Spring poem.

As a librarian I value the library as a marketplace of ideas. I love the fact that for almost every viewpoint you find represented in our collection you can almost always find the counterpoint.
